entry#8- the lost colony...

 As human beings we all have things we're curious about or things we've never stopped thinking of. Ever since I learned about The Lost Colony of Roanoke I've been extremely interested in what actually happened to it.

 Some background information; in August of 1587 a colony of English settlers joined John White on an expedition to the "New World". The "New World" referring to the Americas, specifically North Carolina. About 115 people (men, women, and children) followed him overseas to create a settlement and eventually expand. That same year, John White decided to sail back to England to acquire more supplies. Because of the war between England and Spain, he couldn't return right away. He was only able to return three years later. 
When he did return, the settlement was deserted. The 115 people he had left were gone. There were no obvious signs that explained what had happened.  

While no one truly knows what occurred to the colonists, there are many theories that people have come up with. The first theory consists of the idea that the colonists were attacked by nearby Native American groups. This theory was proposed due to tension between local groups and the colonists. Although this could be true, when he did arrive there were no mass graves or signs of struggle. The houses had been disassembled, it simply looked as if they packed up to relocate. 

Another popular theory is that the colonists were struggling, so they joined nearby Native American groups. This theory is much more supported due to the fact that there is more evidence that points towards it. When White arrived, the word "Croatoan" was carved on a nearby tree. This led to White believing the colonists had joined the Croatoan tribe. Recent archaeological evidence includes some of the colonists belongings where the Croatoan tribe were believed to have resided. 

With this information I want to know your opinions. What do you guys believe could have happened? Do you guys believe any of these theories?

    This was a great story that I also have some background knowledge in since I watch many videos and read stories about the lost colony. There is so many theories such as a plagued wiped them out, natives wiped them all out, and in fighting caused the death of them. But where are the bodies? Where are the signs. Its crazy to think how even know we ponder of what happen to those of the past, maybe just maybe it was ALIENS!

 Hello everyone,  I am quite a movie enthusiast and will watch anything and everything, although I do prefer horror films.  Watching movies at the end of the day is so refreshing and it helps me "wrap up" my day in a way. Movies have a beneficial impact on people physically and mentally. While sometimes watching movies is for fun, they can also serve as motivation to some (especially if the movie is about chasing a dream).  An example of this genre is, The Pursuit of Happiness .  The main theme of the movie is never giving up on your dreams. The movie is about a single dad who is trying to create a better life for his son and goes through many hardships. While he is interning at a company, he isn't getting paid. The intern program includes 20 people who all want the job and they essentially have to compete against one another to land it. Entry #1- my hobby

Good day everyone, In this post I will be writing about one of my many hobbies which is volleyball. When I was younger, some friends and family would gather to play a game of volleyball at the park every week. Although I was young, I understood the rules of the game easily because I had been playing for a while and there were always people who would help me if I made a mistake. There are many reasons why volleyball is such a great sport.  While it is a sport and typically sports are confusing at times, I believe it is one of the easiest sports to understand. The concept of volleyball is to get the ball over the net in a certain number of hits to earn a point. The desired number of hits is 3. Someone on the team "receives" the ball, someone "passes", and finally someone "spikes" or just passes it over the net (in that order).
