Entry #4- music...
Hello everyone,
These days I've been listening to a lot of music everyday. Listening to music helps me concentrate and it also motivates me while doing my assignments. I know a lot of other people listen to music when doing chores or homework, so I wanted to talk about 2 of the benefits listening to music has on the body both physically and mentally.
Listening to music can help boost your motivation when doing something. Apparently, music helps you focus with the task at hand rather than dwelling on the fact that you don't want to do that task. This will clearly help when finishing assignments that you have dreaded, when doing chores, or when you are exercising. Listening to music keeps energy levels up which creates the motivation.
Another way music is beneficial to a person is it can boost your mood. Rebecca Joy from "Benefits of Listening to Music" explains that listening to music releases neurochemicals that play a part in brain function, emphasizing the release of dopamine which creates a pleasurable effect. I'm sure a lot of people can agree that listening to music gets them in a good mood. Some people even listen to music in the mornings to prepare for their day.
Apart from being entertainment, music can truly help someone perform better whether that be at school, work, or home. Improving your mood can help you enjoy life a little more when going through certain hardships. Listening to your favorite album or songs can have a positive impact on your mind and how you see the world.
Hello Abigail, I enjoyed reading your post! I believe music is a powerful tool to help individuals with their day-to-day activities. I have also noticed that music has helped me immensely when I do my assignments. I usually listen to jazz, meditation, and raining sounds and noticed an increase on my concentration. I also agree that music can have an impact on our moods depending what we chose to listen too.
ReplyDeleteI also love listening to music when doing homework, chores, and drawing! It helps me focus! I never thought about how it actually produces positive chemicals, I really enjoyed reading about that!
