entry#7- hashtags: fun and important...

 I'm sure everyone who uses Tik-tok, Instagram, or X knows what a hashtag is or has come across one. For those who don't know, it is basically a phrase or word used on a post to help categorize it. Hashtag's also make it easier when searching about specific topics. Some popular hashtags which everyone knows of are #trending, #photography, #travel, etc. I have never used them, but I do believe they're important. 

Through the use of hashtags people are able to connect easily online and share their experiences. A prime example of this is the #MeToo movement. This movement allowed women to share their experiences with sexual violence and create an online community of allies. Women were speaking out against their aggressors because they saw that other women experienced similar things.

Another hashtag which was recently trending and probably still is, is the #Erastour. It is based on Taylor Swift's recent tour, which started in March of 2023 and is set to end in December of this year. The hashtag is popular on TikTok and it is used among the fanbase to share videos of concerts. In the comments of these videos fans constantly share their experiences and connect with each other to reminisce about that special event. 

Overall, these are two different situations in which hashtags have been used. I believe both of these hashtags are important in their own ways depending on who partakes in them. Hashtags can be used to inform and spread important information among netizens or to connect with others on music, art, and experiences.

Entry #2- movies...

 Hello everyone,  I am quite a movie enthusiast and will watch anything and everything, although I do prefer horror films.  Watching movies at the end of the day is so refreshing and it helps me "wrap up" my day in a way. Movies have a beneficial impact on people physically and mentally. While sometimes watching movies is for fun, they can also serve as motivation to some (especially if the movie is about chasing a dream).  An example of this genre is, The Pursuit of Happiness .  The main theme of the movie is never giving up on your dreams. The movie is about a single dad who is trying to create a better life for his son and goes through many hardships. While he is interning at a company, he isn't getting paid. The intern program includes 20 people who all want the job and they essentially have to compete against one another to land it.
